Fireworks
1. The sale, possession and use of certain nonexplosive and nonaerial fireworks are permitted in Minnesota. Examples of legal fireworks include items such as sparklers, cones and tubes that emit sparks, and novelty items like snakes and party poppers.

2. Illegal fireworks consist simply of any firework device that flies or is aerial and/or any device that is explosive. Examples of these illegal fireworks include firecrackers of any size, sky rockets, bottle rockets and missile-type rockets. Do not fire or discharge any fireworks at any place of public assembly or in any commercial use district.

3. A water source connected to a hose or other acceptable means of putting out a fire must be in the area.

4. Juveniles may not possess fireworks unless under the direct supervision of a responsible adult.

5. Do not throw or toss any firework at any person, animal, vehicle or other thing or object. As a citizen and resident, if you observe or hear illegal fireworks activity, please call 911 and report it immediately. The Centennial Lakes Police Department will investigate all reports and will prosecute any violations of the laws.
