Garage Sale Regulations
Section 725 of City Code
Garage or Rummage Sales are any displays and sale of personal property conducted on residential premises by the occupant. Estate sales conducted at a decedent's residence are not included in the definition of garage or rummage sales.
Restrictions
1. None of the items offered for sale have been obtained for resale or received on consignment for sale.
2. Any garage or rummage sale shall be conducted solely within the boundaries of the property owned or occupied by the occupant who is conducting the sale.
3. There shall be no more than four garage or rummage sales conducted at any one residence during any period of twelve calendar months.
4. No garage or rummage sale shall be conducted during any part of more than three consecutive days.
5. No garage or rummage sale may be conducted before 8:00 a.m. or after 10:00 p.m.
Garage Sale Signs
1. Signs shall be placed only on private property with the consent of the property owner.
2. The signs shall not exceed six(6) square feet in area and may not exceed four(4) feet in height.
3. The signs may be displayed for no more than ten (10) days.
