Storm Water Pollution Program (SWPPP)

The City of Circle Pines has developed a Storm Water Pollution Prevention Program (SWPPP) in conformance with the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) requirements.

The SWPPP is part of a federal program called the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES).

Rice Creek Watershed provides educational materials for the city and is a great resource for storm water pollution prevention.

Public Comment and Feedback

Residents have an opportunity to provide written input on the Best Management Practices (BMPs) being utilized by the City. The plan is available for review online or at City offices. Comments will be considered in making revisions to the city plan and will be included in the annual report to the city council and the MPCA.
If you have any questions about the program, would like to discuss any concerns you may have or want to submit comments regarding the MS4 SWPPP, please contact Chandra Peterson at 763-231-2611 or email
