Licenses
The City of Circle Pines no longer licenses animals. Dogs must have an id tag that indicates contact name, address, and phone number.
Animal Bites
If an animal, child or adult has been bitten by an animal please call the Centennial Lakes Police Department at 763-784-2501.
Barking Dogs
Pets are an important part of many people’s lives and as a dog owner it is our responsibility to be considerate of our neighbors when our dogs are barking. The City Code states it is unlawful for any animal to habitually or frequently bark or cry.
If you have a complaint about a barking dog please call the Centennial Lakes Police Department at 763-784-2501.
Leash LawIt is unlawful for any animal to be in or upon any city park, street, sidewalk or trail property unless the owner or person in control of the animal restrains the animal by a leash. The only exception to this is the Aspen Park area. Trail access to the Park is located across the street from Golden Lake Park.
Pooper Scooper Ordinance
It is unlawful for any animal to defecate on public property or the private property of another, without the owner or person in control of the animal immediately removing the excrement and disposing of it in a sanitary manner.
It is unlawful for the owner or person in control of the animal to permit such unsanitary conditions on a premises that the maintenance or keeping of the animal creates a danger to the public health, safety, or welfare or odors are an annoyance to the public in the vicinity.
